For this home in Santa Monica we chose a transitional style inspired by the order, simplicity, and organizational language of the Italian Brutalists.  The forms are clean and contemporary, which satisfies the clients desire for something modern, while the rhythm is reminiscent of a more traditional design aesthetic. Large expanses of glass framed by limestone-clad fins focus views towards the ocean to the west and the park towards the east.
